I'd take a car, especially a Honda, with mileage on it any day of the week before I'd consider something wrecked.
It would still be a risk to take, but buying any used car is a risk, especially if you don't personally know the previous owner(s).
Good luck. :-)

I think everyone has said it well. It's safer to buy a used one with high mileage than one with a salvage title either way good luck.

I used to have an ep3 also. I don't really have anything to add that other's haven't said already. Well, except good luck. Try to find a MY00 or MY01 with some mileage. (I paid 20k for my MY01 with 45,xxx miles w/extended warranty)

To echo everyone else, I'd rather have a high-mileage used over a salvaged S any day.

I've made the mistake of buying a salvaged car that needed repairs and bodywork to make it driveable again. I wasted a lot of time and money. I ended up spending more than I would have if I were just to buy a running car in decent shape.

I also don't think it will be too long before you see a lot of used 00's appearing in the $14K-$17K range.

Good luck.
