hey guys

well I been been on this board for a while now even before I had my S I don't post a lot but I read like every dam topic

so I ve decided to post.. cause I need some help deciding

well here the thing I've had my s2k for almost a yr and half now. I used to love driving the car.. any excuse to get out and drive it just like everyone else here. But now its just not that exiting anymore. don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the S. (just noisey and no space lol) since I've had the S I haven't even drove my integra on the street I used to drive that thing before every weekend. now integra is just a garage/trailor queen

I just for some weird dam reason want a corvette C5 (not a Z06, or a M3 or anything else). i ve drove plenty of them (i work part time at a dealership) and they seem nice and its just stuck in my head that I want a corvette. but I don't know if it will be a wise idea to get rid of the S.
(i can't keep both so that out of the story)

I have pretty much no complaints with the S like I said.
and its not either cause corvette is faster blah blah.

so now S a daily driver or a C5. thats is the question. I just don't wanna get the C5 and want to go back to a S2000.

anyone else sold there S for a vette? and regret it?

thanks in advance for us suggestions
I too have been shopping for a C-5 vette, I say do it but then again I am considering doing the samething.

I understand the storage issue. I owned a 06 Corvette C6 and loved it. But was offerred a profit on it and I let it go. I then purchased a 07 S. The lack of storage is a major factor with the S and the corvette has it beat hands down on storage, but the noise is just as noisey or more so in the vette. All the complaints I hear about the S noise is petty compared to vette, Saleen, Rousch, or any other sportcar is that category!

The Miata, sky and solistice are not as loud, but they are not the same calibur as the S.

I loved my vette and will have another one day-but don't let noise be your deciding factor-you will be diappointed!

both are great cars. my old man has owned two c5's (has an anniversary model now) He DD's the current one and loves it except when it rains (lives in san antonio).

do yourself a favor and list the reason you like your S. If the c5 can deliver on the same list then I would buy it.

I would buy one myself if not for the cost.

BTW if you live outside of Torrance California "unique" can be on your list otherwise, its not. I saw 5 s2000's yesterday. I will 10 more today.

Depends what you want out of the car. If you are going for the wow factor from friends and chicks, then I guess the vette gets more points there. But if you like to go fast on small roads and tracks the I would say stay with the S2000. I just got back from an auto-x event last weekend where a blue C5 Z06 was spanked by every s2000 on the track. He was an average of 8 seconds slower.

I have always said that a corvette is a sports car for people who don't know what a sports car is supposed to be!

They may be fast in a straight line, but just about any other "sports car" can kill it in a tight canyon!
