To reiterate -
Sponsor and vendor discounts should be available to everybody.
A look at the poll results shows 35% of people won't pay membership. To deny them access to discounts will limit sponsor's business. This may possibly limit interest in sponsorship and potential membership.
While I agree with members supporting the board monetarily (on a voluntary basis) and most other points put forward I will still be offering discounts to ALL members. This is really a decision to be made by the sponsor.
