I apologize!

I meant no harm whatsoever by my stoopid comment.

I promise to think before I post next time.

Sorry - I'm new to this.

Forgive?

...and now back to the car discussion...

I owned a Boxster 99 AS/Blk/Blk from 99 till last year. It was CHEAP to maintain. Oil changes are every 15,000 miles....and it comes with a great warranty. Out of pocket, I spent less than $270 bucks for 2 1/2 years... I LOVE the looks ( still do). I went with an S2k because I own one Porsche already ( 95 993), but I still wanted a drop top and I didnt want to spend a lot of money. For the money the S2k is hard to beat. I dont think I could drive it everyday because it is a loud car and the noise is bothersome after a while...but it a great drivers car. My 02 is much faster than my 2.5 986 ( Boxster # is 986)

I am waiting for the new body style before going back, but I do love the simplicity of the Honda, I DO like that it is a Honda...and I do love the way it drives....and it seemed to be rare a few months ago, but I am seeing more and more S2k's ( Seattle) and there a ton of Boxsters up here.

Ultimately, I like the Interior better in the Honda than the Boxster, ( Except the rare P69 Interior ( awesome!)) Its a toss up with the gauges... I love the futuristic look, but I like the classic analog dials in the 911's and the retro dials in the Boxster...all are cool. The set up in the S2k is perfect for the driver. Sets up for the driver to focus on the road with little distractions.

I love the front of the S2k more than I like the front of the Boxster...But I LOVE the front of the 993 the most. The Boxster's and 993's rear end is kind of a J' Lo ( very good) like. Love them both. Only some fat wheels can help the rear of the S2k...but I like the dual exhaust...the rear of the S2k looks kind of plain to me ( and again, maybe this is from looking too long at the Boxster and the 911).

The shifter is best on the S2K than the Boxster...( its not even close). The 911 shifter is a close 2nd to the S2k, but the complete set up of the 993 ( Not talking 996 or older C2's or 2.7s) is classic.

O.K. enough yapping about the cars....if you own either you HAVE to be a happy camper.

Cheers!

I agree with S that it is hard to beat the value of S2K.
I will be concern with used out of warranty boxster...too many engine oil leak problems.
