Wow this has become a very controversial thread, has it not? I will avoid the ethno-political aspects and merely add that our closest friends own a very nice 2001 Speed Yellow Boxster which I have driven extensively. Very nice car, but I would not trade for a moment. The feel is less "edgy" and a bit more numb, although it is very fast and (in yellow) quite striking. It is a long time between service calls but when you are ready, they DO know how to charge at the Porsche dealer!! Probably my only envy is the slick automatic boot cover for the folded top
