Wow, this topic sure got out of control fast. Shame really, as it's a perfectly reasonable question.
I would not trade my S for a Boxster if it were even steven. I would; however, trade it for a Boxster S. IMO, the Boxster S is a nicer car and more to my personal liking. It's just not $20,000 nicer.
Give me one for free though and now you're talking. I could even live with the exhorbidant (sp?) maintenance costs at that point.

Wow! I knew that this would be a provocative question, but I never dreamed it would turn into an historical, geopolitical controversy. All politics aside, good to know S2K owners are true to thier cars. 8 days and counting till my Blk on Blk arrives.

I like and respect the Boxster S very much. I would own both if I could. But I doubt I would trade my S2000 for it. But there is a 'commonality' (I don't even know if that's a word) about it that I find boring. I'm sure other SoCal owners here can relate.......you see Boxsters here not everyday, but every minute.

Didn't think it would be a regional thing. Seems that places that have a lot of Boxsters have folks that enjoy the relative "exclusivity" of the S2K. Seems like Boxsters have become quite commonplace in certain areas of the country.
