Wowie Zowie!
I closed up shop early today and sent everyone home to finish their Christmas shopping. Since the sun was still out and it was a beautiful day, I decided to drive the S2000 for the first time in six weeks (!).
As I dusted it off, I reacquainted myself with the beautiful curves and bulges. I marveled at the compactness of the 240hp engine as I checked the oil. I tried to turn the key to start it and then remembered THE BUTTON. I let it idle while I washed the windows and checked the tire pressures, anxious to warm it up and let it scream. Top down, hat on-- all systems go. I may be too used to the flat, uncomfortable bench seat in my F250, but the driver's seat almost felt like a hug when I climbed in and fastened the seat belt. With an eager "snick" the shifter slid into first and a tingle went up my spine-- I knew what was in store for me.
I took it easy for the first few miles and then, once I got on the freeway, wound the engine out to redline in 1st, grinned and shifted into 2nd, hit the redline, then 3rd to the redline and it's time to slow down a little for the 30 mph cloverleaf. Halfway through the curve I am screaming and giggling, Drunk with delight.
Now, a few hours and more than a few beers later, I have made a vow to drive my baby at least once a week to avoid DVB (dreaded vtec buildup) and remind myself why I Love this car!

Pat,Pat,Pat, Tch Tch Tch....
I guess part of this could be my fault. I was going to stop by and show you my '01, and I forgot to. It sure is easy to get side tracked in such a wonderful car.
I've talked to a few of the guys in the bay area, and they want to come to Tahoe for a road trip in the spring. We should go scout the area and show them a good time.
I'll bring my stook by after the holidays.
