How about a heat shield
The j's header does not come with the bungs to attach your factory heat shield with....the only aftermarket header doing this right now is Ricks new header...you can re-use the factory heat sheilds

Doesn't the Mugen have the bungs?

^ No that you mention it...I think it does....however that are very easy to break off....almost all of the use mugen headers I have seen have "damaged" or broken off bungs for some reason

A lot of this is rumor control. I had a wrapped Spoon header for almost 5 years on my integra and it was fine when I sold it. It rained a lot in So Cal and Alaska (where I had the car). So to me that is a great theory but doesnt have any holdings with me because I am speaking from experience. Didnt happen to me with either of my headers. I also have a vented hood to help get rid of heat. The header will actually last a lot longer than most of you think. IMO 5 years is good enough. Some people dont even have the car after 5 years.

You can buy the J's header with the wrap on it from the Co. it's about another $175.00.
I think if the wrap was a problem J's would not offer the option of getting it wrapped from them. You can always go with a ceramic coating to reduce heat under the hood as I am doing with my header, it's about $100.00 and looks great.

The Mugen Header comes with its own heatshield, hence , you wont need to use the stock one!!
