Default WTF! $3500 for a cold air intake?

I was on a sponsors website (don't want to say but they are a great sponsor) and they have a ASM Carbon Fiber intake that cost $3579.99 !!!!!!!!! The discription doesn't say much and i can't see a lot of gain from it... Who would buy this when that is the cost of a FI kit? If you have money like that, why would you waste it on an intake? I know not everyone wants to be FI but damn... is there something i'm missing?
