I found S2ki.com when doing an internet search on some S2000 problem I was having, over 3 years ago. I didn't know it existed until then. I joined soon afterwards because the TSBs I found explained what was going on with my car. I used the info to walk into my dealership and tell them what they needed to do. Joining then was my way of saying thanks.

Since then, I've made lots of friends, and the site has become part of my life. I connect daily here, with friends I've made nearby and across the country. I've found that there are lots of people out there besides me who really their S2000s. For me, $50 for a gold membership is money well spent. I know I can come here with any question I have about my S, and someone can help me.

Legal Bill in the Vintage Forum, from the other side of the country, set me up with specs to align my '01 and make my rear tires go from bald at 5,000 miles to getting 15,000 miles. The So Cal Forum told me the best place to get my '05 aligned and make it fun to drive. I've flown back east three times and driven my '05 back once, just to hang out with Vintage Forum friends I've made here. I've also gone to many local meets. I love this site. That's why I gladly pay for the Gold membership and have this license plate frame:

Erik, had I not met you in person and your beautiful wife, I wouldn't have known the kind of person you are and I wouldn't have cared or bothered. This site is as much a part of me, members and guests as it is a part of you. It's just that some don't quite realize this.

His dog is cute too

I've seen what Erik does every day, when I was there last year. I really hadn't appreciated how much he puts into this site until back then. It IS his life.

Thanks for bringing s2ki to us, I don't know what I would do without it

Total membership counts as of right now:

Basic members: 1285 - 17%
Gold Members: 370 - 5%
Guests: 5810 (who have posted this year) - 78%
Now....where are the guests who have the nerve to post on this thread and state why s2ki is not worth 6 cents/day to them

Bought my gold membership as well. As a side note, some of us have been here a long long time and remember before it even had any sponsors and Cthree essentially paid for the site out of his own pocket just for his love of the car. Before S2KI existed we all hung out on a board that got hacked once a month and our passwords stolen. S2KI has become the centerpiece of the S2K community worldwide, never been hacked, and always been a bargain. I gladly contributed my $50.

I think the guests should have a monthly post limit. Once you pay for a membership then the post limit is lifted.

It's only $50.00 guys, that's less than what you would spend on a good night out.

Show your support for the site and buy a membership!!!

I never imagined that my $50 membership was the cheapest ticket that I'd ever buy in terms of entertainment, information and mostly for the friends I've made and the people I've met.
well said

I haven't read all 7 pages, so forgive me if I repeat a suggestion.

Why not limit the guest accounts a little more. Like the signatures can only be a few lines, etc. Maybe a badge limit (or a ugly "not a member" badge). Or limit Group Buys to members only, etc.

The best I would htink would be a post limit on how many posts you can make a day.

And as a few people mentioned, maybe a few more mods to help weed out all the crap and personal attacks on the forum.

Lastly, why not leave the forum on your new and old servers, the members get to login to the newer higher speed one (hey, they bought it) and the guests can loginto the older, slightly slower one.
Some of those suggestions are good. Limiting group buys to only members would hurt the sponsors. That one's a no go imo.

WOW......
You can bang your head all day and all night long, fact is it's not a donation.

I know my post is somewhat laughable but since we are talking about financial help and so serious about how important it is to buy memberships i quoted the post because IN MY OPINION it's ignorant.

Your WOW...... is very self explanatory, hey.... it's your opinion.

I am going to go out on a limb here.. but wisconsin is a moderator, I think this is just a miscommunication. Chalk it up to the lack of internet expression of feelings.
