I like my AP1 00MY with AP2 '05 engine , best combo

 

What did you do to account for the difference in redline?

 

04 is the best

 

05 ap2 with f20c

 

If you want an ap1 2003 is the best

If you want an ap2 2009 is the best

 

IMO.....I had a new '04 ordered when I was looking at an almost new '03.After driving both,I liked the '03 the best.

This does not count the fact he would be buying a used car. You never know, the best one could be a 1999 one in his particular area or time of search. Really if you want an AP1 or Ap2 the goal should be to find the cleanest, well taken care of car you can find. Not the last year of a body style. I had number 427 built in 1999 with 105K on the clock and it did not burn oil at all ( I ran mobil 1 which most people say they burn), shifted smoother than many AP2 cars I had driven, and still had the original top (13 years old). Which not many AP2 cars even have the original top if they have 50k or more miles on them. They actually seemed to take a crap much sooner than most AP1 tops did.

 

2006+ are better ones unless you want AP1 for track reasons

2006 was the last year for all major changes
