Default Yippyyyyy !!!

I finally received the new chrome-moly comptech flywheel !!!( 8.6 lbs instead of 15.5 lbs ) And i was planning to install it myself but...Since i have this first to second shifting problem i will make it repair by honda so i was wondering if THEY could do it for me ( they will be in the clutch area...so...) But i'm afraid that after having them to know this, they will void my warranty ???Wath do you guys think ? Also, do you think i should expect better quarter mile and better 0-60 m/h with that change ?

I can't comment on the improvements but I had my Toda flywheel installed by the dealer during some transmission work and they didn't even charge me for the labor. nice. Your mileage may vary.

The Toda is around 9lbs. It's chromemoly. It's about the same I think.

what does the lighter flywheel do?
i thought it was used in other cars to reduce weight and allow higher rpm,
but doesn't this engine allready reach pretty high revolutions?
thanks

Yeah! It does all of that, and also it will allow you to get to the "Higher RPM" a lot quicker! Meaning it will rev a little faster because of less rotating mass in the engine.

It is important to understand that this engine have a lot of power but to get the best of it you have to rev.high, so the lighter the flywheel is the faster you get there. This also apply to the clutch but in less proportion. But in the opposite, the engine will not rev.faster because of the cut off system.
