This is in no way directed at any of the 18-20yr olds who have responded, but in my experience, usually the only way somebody that age can afford a car this expensive (and the astronomical insurance that goes with it) is by living at home and owning nothing else. When I was that age, I had friends who spent every penny they owned on expensive cars. They modded them out to the max, put the goofy neon lights on, etc. I drove a piece of crap but fast forward a few years later when I was able to buy my own home and they were starting to figure out that it was hard to bring girls home to your mom's house and still be cool

Like I said..not directed at anybody in particular...l

you're a dork. i got mine when i was 16, and there are many others that age that own them now.

i've seen an owner that was 15 at the time, and he was part of the local group, so i know he didn't make it up. i also believe he had nitrous at that age too.

im wondering if there is a difference between:

"i bought mine when i was 16."

and

"i got mine when i was 16."

personally, i wasn't able to scrounge together $34-36k when I was 16. i saved up about $22k by the time i was 16 and bought myself a brand new base model Prelude. i drove that for two years then handed it down to my brother when i went to college. i got myself a 92 EH for next to nothing and drove that for a year. now im making payments on the S2000.

i must admit that my parents have helped me out with the rent and cost of going to a university though.
