I'm getting my hair cut so I don't have to wear a band on my head to keep my hair out of my eyes.
Now there's commitment!

My wife used to have a Geo (pre-chevy) Tracker when we were in college. It was about 4 years old. She NEVER put the top down, or even back. I always asked her why she had a car with a top that came off that she never used. It was always too hot, too cold, too PMS, too whatever.

When I got the S2K, we were driving and she asked me to put the top up. I told her I got a convertable car and it's going to spend most of the time I drive it as such. Unless it's raining or unbearably hot (90+ with humidity), the top is down.
That's the way! Go shopping with her and buy her a hat that will stay on.

Suntan lotion in the secret compartment unless its just too hot and humid or under 40 or raining/snowing its down. Jan/Feb the top stay p the most August is close to third place, every other month it's down 80%-90% of the time I drive (damn rain).

I drive with the top down 99% of the time. Unless the earth freezes over or bursts into a ball of flames the top will be down.

For long drives, it's top up during the day because I don't like the sun, top down at night.

For short drives, I'm indifferent, it's however I last left it.
