While checking out my rebuildable 02, I was messing with the radio.
When I try to get it to work, the word CODE comes up on the screen.
I bought it wrecked, with a salvege title, so it didn't come from the previous owner and without any paperwork at all.
Any Ideas how to get a code and how to use it??

Check the center glove box, top section. They always put them in there. If not, you are going to have to drive it to the dealer with the radio inhand and they can get the code for you.

 

Look for the sticker.

Another alternative is to buy a stock OEM radio from a member for $30.

 

will the dealer charge for the code?

 

They may. They may also require proof of ownership before giving you the code. They will need the Serial # of the radio.

 

i had to get my code a while back...went to the dealer and gave my serial number and they just pulled the code for me free of charge.

 

Pm me the serial number and i can hook you up.
