What are the prices out there for those two stations?

the 100 octane in pasadena is apparently around ~$6.39
$5.59 currently at the car wash.

When running these race gasolines diluted everything is generally fine. If you run them straight be aware of the specific gravity of the formulation. I found when 76 changed supplier last year the specific gravity changed considerably and I needed to retune my engine to keep from leaning out too much.

Last I checked the the fuel was around $4.39 or something. I've never seen it go over $4.50. It become a better deal as the regular gas prices rise and the race gas stays the same.

As far as resetting the ECU, you can pull the fuse for the engine, it's in the kick panel on the driverside. Pull it while you fill up and plug it in when you are done, should be enough time for the voltage to run out. I usually don't bother. After a few miles and 3 engine starts the car seems to be adjusted to the fuel. You really shouldn't have to pull the fuse etc. The motor adjusts pretty fast, otherwise if you accidentally pumped 87 into the car it would do some damage pretty quick.

The ecu will retard quickly to prevent damage but it holds that retard for a long time before reverting to the more advanced timing map. It seems to be about the length of a tank of gas before it looses the retard.

Here in the netherlands we always tank octane 98, on the inside of the tank door there is also a sticker thats say's that i MUST tank 98 octane. I wonder if the ecu settings are different than the USDM S2k's ???

Then i wonder, since you guys in the states drive on lower octane, does that mean that the european S2k's have more "power" ?

Many European countries use Research Octane. In the USA they use Research Octane plus Motor Octane divided by two. Research Octane tends to be higher and less subject to manipulation than Motor Octane. Check these out: http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp_01_fuels.html

the ratings over seas is in RON we use the R+M/2 method which puts your 98Ron around 92-93 octane here in the US

Owh okok, i didn't knew that. Learned a thing again But if i go to the border of germany, i can tank Shell V-power and thats RON 100.
But i never noticed any gains of power when i previously had my Integra R.

At the local carshops around here you can buy octane booster, that should bring the octane to level RON 105 they say. ( costs about 15 dollar, too much i think )
