2 Different OEM engine filters? (picture)

2000-2005 cars have an air pump. So on the engine side of the airbox, there will be mounting hooks for vaccuum lines. If your airbox does not have these mounting hooks, it is a 2006-2009 airbox.

Thank you Mr.Billman! It's exactly as he said, I just checked my airbox and it indeed has mounting clips for the airline thats mounted to it. So I'm guessing whoever owned it previously either bought the wrong one and stuff that crossed peice into the hole that was meant for the round hole.


Billman I'm guessing that portion where the round guide piece pole goes into is actually rubber? Cause when I looked at it it seemed like it was round before and the cross portion stuff into it left the indents from the cross guide?

My 06' is green and as far as I remember, the original was also green.

The color of the filter media may vary over different production runs I would think, I wouldn't obsess over blue vs. green. The significant detail here is the design of the plastic top on the filter, not the color.

Outta curiousity, I went out and looked at mine and it is the star shaped fitting so the filter on the left is correct for the '06 and above. Of course, Bill was right as usual
