2-Step
Hey I was thinking and it popped in my head.
Since the s2k has a rev limit of like 6 when its cold, is there a way we could tap into the signal its sending to the ecu and wire it to a switch so we could activate the 6k rev limit anytime.
For what I want to do, is use it like a 2-step..
Flip a switch, floor it, (it would be at 6k) dump the clutch, wait a sec and flip the switch back to normal..
Technically it should work, but the problem is what is the wire that sends the signal. It should be easy to send the signal, just use a volt meter and see what it sends the ecu when the car is cold.
The problem is where to even look for this wire.
What you guys think.

I would like to know this myself as I am about to leave my car with a mechanic for a mandatory inspection, and I do NOT want them driving it hard on the 5 mile road test.
Someone help on this please as my inspection is on Monday.

The only practical way to do this would be to wire a resistor of the correct resistance to make the PCM think the coolant temp is below 130deg. You'd have to make sure that your wiring did not add any more total resistance to the ECT circuit as it would effect the accuracy of both the ECT and the temp gauge.
You'd also throw CEL's for thermostat out of range whenever you used the resistor.
I'd recommend a Carchip if you are paranoid of the Italian test drive
