Default 2002 AP1 with 18K mileage

I very recently purchased my 2002 with now just rolling 18K on the clock and took it to the dealership for fluid changes. Rear diff, trans and radiator were all done. As part of the deal purchasing the car, I had the Lexus dealership do a flush and fill on the brake fluid. Somehow I missed having the Honda dealership change the clutch fluid today and didn’t realize until after the car was done. Looks like I’ll be taking it back soon to get it completed, though it looks fine visually.

While im at it, is there anything else that should be done given the car’s age? I can follow the manual mileage and time recommendations but I don’t mind going the extra mile. They did give it a multipoint inspection (what all that means I don’t know) and said the car is absolutely meticulous. That being said, they didn’t feel the spark plugs needed replaced (they’re probably the originals) and the air filter was clean as well. I’m going to have it done anyway.

If I’m missing anything, I’d appreciate the heads up. Was nice to have all the service guys and others taking a look and commenting on the car. I did turn down the free wash. Didn’t want them to get it dirty!

Firstly congratulations on a stellar find! Mileage is never an issue with these cars as they go forever obviously with proper maintenance. From that POV it seems the car has had little maintenance because it didn't need much and since the mileage is extremely low there shouldn't be anything that needs attention. One thing I'm pretty sure of is you need new tires. IF those are the original S02's then boy are they expired! Check to make sure. If they're the originals then change them immediately before taking her up to 9000rpm (if you haven't already). Expired tires are death traps especially when pushed hard.

If I were you, I'd swop those plugs out for new Iridium BKR8EIX and run Motul 5W30 or 40 8100 oil. Please post some pics here. How's the driver's side seat bolster?

Silicone grease specifically made for rubber. Work it into all the rubber weather stripping on the doors trunk, hood, doors, and top, wipe off excess. Repeat once a year.

Having trouble with quoting on the phone, so I’ll try to reply in general.

The tires were replaced by the dealership, although they aren’t quality. I’m looking for refurbished OEM V1 or V3 (preferably CR) rims and will put good rubber on then. Most of the maintenance is just needed due to age. Fluids only have a shelf life for so long. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Lubricating the seals is a good idea and I hadn’t thought of that, so thanks for bringing it up. It’ll never see rain unless I’m caught in it but def a good call.

Pics? I only have a few I downloaded from the dealer but I’ll post a few of them. Interior is very good. A few wrinkles in the leather on the bolsters but zero cracks and it’s nice and firm. Thankfully I’m tall enough to sit over it when getting out or in. I’m rather OCD and that’s a concern for me. I’ve already treated the seats and will do so again in a week or so. It deepened the color dramatically, which tells me it was thirsty. The pic is before I got hold of it. I did replace the radio door already but I’m doing my best to keep it all OEM and I’m hanging on to all replaced parts

Check the valve specs. Honda says to check them every 100k or 7 years.
