heres something for you 04-05 owners. something the dealers wont tell you.while on 3rd and downshifting to 2nd the gear often pops out and is on the recall list of all dealers. have them check it out as the warranty no longer covers it after 30k.this could save you over $6k on repairs later on.

 

Would you happen to know what they do to to fix it???

Do they put a different part in there or just replace it with a new part???

Just wanting to know if I can go to my dealership and have them fix it if my tranny feels fine so it doesn't happen in the future...

First if it is a recall they must inform the consumer. sorry can't hide it from you.

Third 6K for a tranny repair is WAY too much even at full retail prices.

And often pops out of gear? Sorry...has NEVER happened to me. If this is a frequent problem I would say the problem is one with the driver not the tranny.
