as far as convertible top leaks, it is expected that convertible top is not 100% leakproof. Just consider the fun factor that you get from owning a true roadster!!!!

So your GF would think that a F1 Cart is a POS because the motor needs a rebuild after every race
F20c revs to 9,000 RPMs and squeezes 240 hp from 2 liters. Buy the RSX-S with the economy the way it is it's best to save a little money, and it doesn't consume oil.

Oil consumption is a fact of life in a high performance engine when you run it at high revs and flat out. The rings start to float a bit. and they're just not as tight as at low revs. Better to have those rings well oiled and burning a bit than break a ring or have one seize. You just need to watch the oil level if you drive it hard. You don't need to worry if you drive like a little old lady. It's your choice--performance or oil conservation. How you drive will determine whether it will use oil.

I beleive oil consumption is also related to the oil brand you are using. Some oils are more violatile than others (the cleaning additives evaporate more readily than other brands). You need to compare identical brands and weights. Also, the anti-wear and cleaning additives the oil manufacters add to the base oil tend to get consumed as you oil accumulates mileage. My 97 Prelude VTEC will consume sythetic oil (1 liter per 2500 km), but on conventional oil the consumption is much lower regardless of how hard I am on the motor. So you may not be 'burning' oil, just consuming it.

Don't worry about people think the S2000 is a piece of shit car... IT IS a piece of shit car.

When people see me checking my oil, my girlfriend included, I just say, "Damn piece of shit Honda. I have to check my oil because the engine burns it up. Just be glad you don't have this S2000 as YOUR car."

They give me a look like, "poor guy" as I drive away with my top down...VROOOM.

I'm not sure... We may need to see pictures of your girl friend before we can give you a definite answer on this. What do the rest of you think.
