I've had the coolant changed every 55,000 miles. It was recently done in May.. I've taken very good care of my S. I change the brake and clutch fluid once a month. The transmission and diff fluid has been changed every 5,000 miles. I've had her a little over 19 years.I picked her up in 2006 with 3800 miles for 26k. I change the oil every 2500 miles. Latest compression test shows 228 psi on all four cylinders.

No criticism from me -- overkill seems to be working. You'll be surprised at the number of folks surprised anything except engine oil needs to be changed. Antifreeze?! We're in the South!

RockAuto is legit, always buy replacement parts from them. Denso is legit and the original equipment manufacturer, yes.. Think Honda without the Honda logo

Default Bump - Overheating - Koyo radiator has been installed since September

I had just let my car warm up for a few minutes. About a half mile from the house it started to overheat. There was steam coming out of the hood. I turned the heat to full and it started coming down. I turned around and got home and parked it within 2 minutes. When I checked it, the radiator looks bone dry from the top. The radiator cap seals look good. The oil looks okay. I am hoping it is not a head gasket. It was installed with a friend that has owned three s2000's. It went through the Billman bleeding procedure with the proper Honda coolant. It has 166,000 miles. The engine was not making any unusual noises. I had purchased the all aluminum racing radiator. My S has never had this happen before. Where should I start troubleshooting? Thanks for everyone's input from before. I appreciate any advice!

Not sure if the Honda blue coolant will still work with this test.

It was installed
It being the head gasket (or what)? Any antifreeze left in the overflow bottle?

Seems strange this problem would occur six months after the radiator replacement. Anything else happen since July?

The IT was the radiator itself. I had leaking spark plug tube seals that I replaced a few weeks ago. I replaced them along with new plugs, ngk iridiums, gapped to ,044 and new ignition coils. Since I pulled the valve cover, I replaced the gasket. The overflow bottle has the same level of coolant it did when doing the radiator.

Could be that the Bleeding was not done correctly and there was a air bubble in the System. I prefer the LHT method for bleeding the Coolant:

It seem´s that the Japanese coolants are all the same, no matter wich colour they have. The colour is added as orderd by the carmakers.
A very Interesting Read: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/th...e-same.397599/
As long as you make sure the chemistry is the "Japanese Type" POAT use what ever you want. I have used the Mazda / Suzuki green one.
