Default 2005- Conversion to 2006+ DBW

I've been searching the forums and Google to get no concrete answer. I wanted to make THIS thread one that can be referred to with concrete answers. I'll post step-by-step pics as we go along.

I have a 2005 S2 and I'm trying to mirror it to my 2006 s2. I have EVERYTHING from the 2006. As such, WHAT needs to be pulled / dropped into the 2005 FROM the 2006? Would it be simpler to drag and drop the complete motor? Or take off X, Y and Z from the 06+ and stick it onto the 05-? I had the Hondata flash pro on the 06+ and want to be able to use it again

It will be ALOT of work. You're better off getting kpro or an AEM EMS. Etc

To start with you'll need to do this, I don't know what else.

Engine wiring harness

Intake manifold with injectors, throttle body. Throttle cable. Throttle pedal. Drive by wire control unit (inside passenger dash somewhere). Anything related to cruise control

Cam sensor, cam trigger wheel, valve cover, coil packs
Crank sensor and crank trigger wheel

Primary o2 sensor, not sure about secondary o2

Vsa components Whatever they are

Probably at least a dozen other things also

The 2006 cars also have VSA.

Are you trying to build two DBW cars or combine parts of two cars into one DBW 2005?

You are looking to make the 2005 car a DBW car yes?

You will also need to make the car a VSA car also.

-engine and harness
-entire dashboard and all harnesses in the entire car pretty much
-entire steering column, ecu, keys
-all fuse blocks
-entire electronics and hydraulics of the brake system
-returnless fuel system

This is a massive job, almost stripping the car to a shell

Major undertaking. I would not tackle the job even if a customer wanted it.

Yes I was basically trying to make the 05 DBW and VSA compatible. Since that is clearly not an option, how about just getting the 06 engine in the 05? So swapping all of the cables off the 05 onto the 06 motor? The reason I want my 06 motor in my 05 is cause it has better KM / I know the background info on it.
