2007 making strange sound under light load and while coasting (Video)
Hey All,
I am getting this oscillating or constant sound that seems to be coming from the transmission.
It only makes detectable noise under light load (5-10% throttle) and while coasting (in gear but not accelerating).
Anyone have an idea what it is? I thought it was the throwout bearing but after watching some videos it doesn't seem to be the issue. I feel like I have had manual cars in the past that made the same sound..
I rebuilt the shifter and just had the transmission fluid changed. It seemed to make it a little better (my shifter sure feels better!), but it may just be placebo.
Any help would be amazing. Thanks!

Secondary output shaft bearings. All too common, unfortunately. Once it's started, it will inevitably get worse over time (I'd swear mine sounds like straight-cut gears on some days). The only fix is to replace the bearings, which is more or less a "mild" transmission rebuild. Your case is very mild right now, so you have some time to think about options. In the meantime, frequent fluid changes will help keep the worst of the contaminants from galling the other gears/bearings.

Lol thanks reddit.
No, it's not clutch buzz. Clutch buzz is an infernal racket; happens *only* on deceleration; and was fixed by Honda before the '02 model year.
