thanks for the feedback. ill try changin out the oil
Overfilling slightly seems to help me as well. I filled 1.8quarts per manual, I got a crunch even with Redline MTL.
I recently redid the fluid - it was stll crystal clear, but this time I filled 2.0quarts, and let almost nothing leak out (a little did as I fumbeld with the fill plug). It felt so much better RIGHT after it. Im sure tis not placebo, and IDK the consequences (worse for trans? i dont know, but i dont think so..) but do ti at your own risk

I have found that increasing the RPM's a little more in 1st, and then gently guiding it into 2nd (will drop right in) helps tremendously when the tranny is cold. Don't force anything when the tranny is cold. I try to change the MTF annually (5-6K miles), and change the diff oil too while I'm at it.
