When we first manufactured the Grill, it was for protection and to add to the apperance of the S2000. It is amazing how many questions can come about with people using the front grills all over america. Our tests did prove that the grill did increase radiator temps, and slightly increased the temperature of the air cleaner. The radiator probe was mounted on the horizontal bar directly behind the radiator, however placed so that airflow would not affect the readings. We did try to measure the temp inside the radiator (coolant temp) but the constant cycling of the coolant gave inconsistant readings. The air cleaner probe was mounted directly inside the air intake box, also to stop airflow from affecting the readings.
I feel that this has been a great thread. There have been many different options, ideas, and even heated arguments that were brought about. We all have our Ideas and Opinions.
I enjoy watching this thread daily, as I have for the last two months.
