Default 5th Gear Problem

Hi guys, need some of your knowledge to help me out.

The problem I am having is changing into fifth gear (all others are fine) it is really stiff and the other day it jammed between 5th and neutural, any ideas what would cause this? as I can't think what it would be, seems it is only one gear that has the problem?

Cheers in advance

I resently had the same problem.
After posting and receiving the same link I have cured the problem - Thanks to all....

What I was doing wrong was while the clutch is engaged slowly but very forcefully pushing into 5th. After reading the thread I tried quickly jabbing it into 5th ant it engaged. It now is a little hard to disengage but at I continue to shift in and out I think it is improving.

The only think I did to bring about this problem would have been a couple of shifts from 4th directly to 6th.

Shifting from 4th to 6th will in no way harm the car, or bring about problems.
