I assume the rest of the car is working. So that means fuse, wiring, connections, or the socket itself.
If it's not the fuse, you will probably have to remove the glovebox, which actually means removing quite a bit of the interior trim.

i thought i had the problem but it ended up being my phone charger... i cant believe i jumped the thought of trying something else but i didnt have anything else to put in there
other than that most likely a fuse

Justed checked the Fuse and its good. Should I just replace it just to be sure? How can I check if its the socket? Thanks Big Time Guys!!!
Have you tried anything other than the cell phone charger? It's always possible the charger is broken and not the socket.
There is a post about this. I had the same problem a while back. Had to remove the bottom panel behind the driver seat. Then a bolt or two on the center console. Reach behind the cigarette lighter socket and tighten the nut on back of the lighter socket. It is kinda loose on my car again but still works.
