Default ABS Light after installing gears.

Guys, I am getting a ABS light after having my 4.57r installed. Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't come on immediately, only after a few minutes of driving.

We checked all four sensors and wires and they look fine.

Are you using a yellowbox?

Did you remove the axles from the hub or stretch the ABS Sensor wires?

Double check that the sensor's bolt it tight...had the same problem when I swapped my axles and it ended up being that simple.

I do recall that others have had this problem after pulling axles and unforfunately it was caused by the abs sensor ring being damaged. Evidently, even a deep scratch on one of the teeth is enough to throw off the magnectic properties and trigger a code.

The wire can have an internal break as well. During dif/axle removal, the ABS sensor should be unbolted. If not, when you swing the spindle outward to remove the axle, you have enough leverage to easily damage the wires.

But I second damaged/scratched/dented teeth on the sensor ring. Good call.

thats exactly what happened to me when i did the inner joint swap. the wires look good, but internally there something wrong. scanner says LR ABS sensor's toast.

Thanks guys, I will double check everything now.

Both axles were removed, so that is probably the culprit.
