Adding DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) to a US-spec S2000
I am going to try this on my MY04 in Silverstone. The combination of being low, small, and gray can make it invisible. While using the highly-focused HIDs as DRLs probably limits visibility to other motorists too much, using the brights annoys other people. This looks like the right solution.
Here's a source I found for the DRL module called for -- a Hamsar 45060 DRL Module. They can ship to the US:

page down to find their DRL entry, or better yet, just call the number they list and order the 45060. If you run their wizard to find out what module to use, they recommend a low-beam module which is not what I want.

I realize this thread is somewhat old but I wonder if anyone knows where I can get the Hamsar 45060 DRL module. I've only found one place where I can get it and it's not in stock and the cost is $109 plus shipping, which seems high. I really want to do this mod as I think DRLs are a great idea and the DIY instructions appear to be excellent.
I def like them. I think cars without them look older. It's a bonus that they have been proven to reduce accidents 30-40% and I'm told some insurance companies have a DRL discount for cars that don't normally have them. I'm just having a really hard time finding a source for the DRL module. I've found others but the post I'm following calls for the Hamsar 45060 and I don't want to experiment or figure out a different one. I'll put in a switch so if my opinion becomes more like yours, I can just turn them off.
