Default Airbag light Stuck on?

I just switched my sparco steering wheel out for a stocker, everything is wired correctly but the airbag light is still on (solid). Is there a simple way to get rid of this or do I have to take it to a Honda dealer?

not sure..

you could try pulling the backup fuse to clear the ECU....but Im not sure if they are connected.

There may be a fuse for specifically that, but Im unsure. that would be worth researching.

There's a special procedure to reset it. I'll post it when I get home if you have not figured it out by then.

The SRS is it's own system not part of the cars ECU. Honda has a little jump tool to reset the SRS system. The jump tool is $14.00 from Honda parts that is if they will sell it to you. Some have used a paperclip or wire to jump the system but, I will not suggest that.

The SRS unit won't clear a DTC when power is removed from it.

PM your # and I'll walk you through the process; sorry just don't feel like typing up the procedure.

Do note that this method isn't recommended by the Service Manual/Honda, but I personally did it.
