does anybody have a link on how to replace the alternator?

or any tip from somebody that has done it before?

any help would be great.

 

Pretty straight foward, remove belt then there is just 2 14mm bolts that hold alternator in place and wiring. U may have to tap on the alternator a bit to get it loose so u can pull it out. I had to replace the starter on thanksgiving and the alternator had to be removed first.

 

any tricks or tips on how to remove the belt?

i had to remove the alternator from my civic and the belt was so hard to take off i just cut it and put a new one banck on.

 

There's a springloaded tensioner up near the top of the engine. Looking at it, you'll see it takes a 14mm (Might be 17mm, its been a little while) wrench. Putting pressure on the wrench will make the tensioner back off so you can take the belt off.

How about "disconnect the battery first" for a tip?
