Default AMSOIL Engine oil

Is anyone using amsoil on their s2000 engine? what are your opinions?

I've been trying to decide between mobil 1, castrol, and amsoil(all synthetic).

Castrol is not a true synthetic. Only the 0w30 "German Castrol" is synthetic. But AMSOIL is definately a high quality oil. A great oil forum to browse (and learn more about oil than you'll ever want to know) is at the BobIsTheOilGuy forums: http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi

Mobil 1, German Castrol, and AMSOIL are all great oils.

Amsoil has been great. Although the price is what is deterring me from purchasing again. I switched to Mobile1 when I put the turbo in and so far its been holding up well (Its only been like 2 weeks so its still a little early to judge).

Mobil 1 synthetic sure does the job for me! It's the best quality oil at the local auto parts store...there's no reason you should have to order your oil for a street car..the most important thing about an oil change is that it be timely. I pair that with a fram tough guard filter and I'm happy! It costs a little over $30.

Take that Fram filter and toss it in the garbage.

If you're going to do right by the car and give it nice oil like Mobil 1, might as well get a Honda 15400-PCX-004 filter and finish the job.

I guarantee using a Fram instead of the Honda 6023009390c-z-gt doesn't make ANY difference in the performance of my car or the life of my engine!

This guarantee is backed by nothing so if you have proof please entertain me.

I do toss it in the garbage every 3500 miles!

I use Amsoil 10W30 (ATM) in the Gold Label. Its probably one of the best Synthetic oils out there. I run mine once a year, change it in the spring when my car comes out of storage. I street, autocross and track my car on the same oil used all season. I definatly reccomend to stick with the OEM Honda filter. There have been many studies showing poor quality filters..i.e. Fram.
