Default Annoying vibration with Comptech Ice Box

Installed the intake a couple weeks ago and adjusted a few more times...still getting vibration through floor board (?!) on full throttle as I pass 4500RPM...

For those of you with COmptech intake...is this what you are experiencing or do I need to tweak the box installation some more?

Sounds normal , tweaking may help a bit but that buzzing is a characteristic of that particular intake.

while the basic design of the box is not bad - the finished product suffers from a lot of variation and poor quality control.
The buzzing is caused by the lid vibrating and rubbing against one or more of the following: the hood prop bracket, the hood prop, the fender well, the plastic retainer for the hood insulation, the box where there are large gaps between the lid and the box itself, or the end flap overhang just resonating all by itself.

I've managed to dampen most of the buzzing out by myself by using modified clear silicone bumpers in various places.
The bottom line is that the box needs at least 3 more screws and a good rubber or silicone seal to help improve the quality of the box and lid seal.

Comptech really needs to redesign the box.

also, if you haven't done it, slide the foam thingy on the prop rod to where it makes contact with the box - that seemed to help mine!

Thanks guys...you gave me a couple more ideas to try...I already modified the front edge of the box so that the hood prop actually goes back into the original clip and have padded any hard contact...
