Ap1 only reving to 8k

you should be talking to the dealer about this.

sounds like fuel cut-off, sounds like ecu.

well I drove it to work and floored it. it went up to 8k or about 81k and bounced off it like it was redline..so maybe someone in honda probably swap ecu's with an ap2. but if my ecu was swap my keys wouldn't work would they?

thats a good piont unless they gave you a new key and u just dont know it. dealers do some wierd shiit, if i remember right i saw a post not too long ago where the dealer wrecked the customers car and tried to hide it, i would get it checked out

maybe the tach is off..........

I also found the S2k's rev limiter to be pretty soft. It's not very violent, there's no severe lurch (that I remember from my wife bouncing off it like 6 times in 2nd gear)

f22 and ecu check engine code to

plug in a diagnostic tool (middle-of-the-road OBDII reader should do it), and read the rpms directly from the ECU. If they match the tach, then I'd call it good. When my motor was damaged, it wouldn't rev past about 7500 rpm due to low oil pressure. It did not sound like a fuel-cut limiter, though.

well i had asked a well known s2k mechanic in new york and he said it could be fouled spark plugs so guys wish me luck
