It's worth a try but if you suddenly lost power assist in one direction its possible there are other eps issues. Clean and regressed not a hard job and cheap so worth a try

Iirc, I've read where cleaning and greasing worked for someone with the same issue. Like X2 said, it's cheap (and relatively easy).

I cleaned/greased mine last, and it's been perfect since.
