AP1 vs AP2 Steering Racks

Hey S2KI,

How can I tell the difference between an AP1 and AP2 steering rack by looking at it? Are there any visual cues I should look for?

They look the same on the outside. Only the ratios are different.

The reason I ask is because I recently got a new steering rack put in. I asked for a replacement AP1 rack but it seems a bit numb and I swear I can't make U-turns as fast as I used to. Seems like my turning radius is shorter than it used to be.

Needless to say I think I got an AP2 rack instead of the AP1 I asked for. Would an AP2 rack have a wider turn radius than an AP1 rack?
