Ap2 overrev?

the rods are same, i think just the crank gives it a longer stroke.

Have you ever done a search on this site? You get a kazillion responses to a search like, "ap2 overrev". Just looking for a little guidance or a linky to assuage my parinoia over the overrev. Now, every small engine noise screams to me BOOM!!

I'd personally be amazed to see a stock AP2 break a retainer, and not show other symtoms from bent valves.

the bores are already almost siamesed. I don't know how they would bore out more than a mm or so without going into the next cylinder!

wrong, the rods have to be shorter to compensate for the increase in crank diameter.

the distance between the piston's TDC and the crank's centerline have not changed.

The only way you could use the same rods is if the block were taller to compensate for the crank's change in dimension. It isn't.
