Default ARP rod bolts

I asked this questions a few months ago but didnt get any answer. Hoping there may be some more information available.

Does anyone know of an ARP or other aftermarket conrod bolt suitable for the F20C engine?

I'm just about to bolt and seal my dry sump pan to the bottom of my engine and see good quality bolts as possible insurance against some of the thrown rods some people have experienced.

Thrown rod bearings on the S are very rare. I only know of one for sure that I've read about. Finding any company that makes specific motor parts for the S2000 is even more rare.

You are getting into an area where critical components are incredibly important. This is where you need the advice of a top-notch engine builder who has specific experience with this engine. One place to start may be Falicon. While they specialize in motorcycle dragster engines, they may be able to steer you in the right direction. They specialize in crankshafts and should have an indepth knowledge of connecting rod requirements. If you explain to them that this engine is an inline 2L 4 cylinder, they may not sneer. Another source would be a search on the internet. Personally, I like Webcrawler as a search engine and would input terms such as "racing engines", "performance engines", "racing", "crankshaft", "fasteners"...etc. You get the idea.

The F20C is pretty much a custom application for everything. If you want custom shit, for the F20C take your motor apart, send them (ARP, Raceware, etc) the bolts, wait 3-4 weeks, insert new bolts. Nobody is doing the research for you... yet.

Guys,

Thanks for the responses. I realise I'm in frontier land with the F20C. I have lots of experience with racing and building Toyota 4age engines. My bored and stroked engine has similar horsepower and higher torque than a F20C ( doesnt rev as hard though). Not bad going for what originally started at 1600cc. Most of my engines are completely custom with different crank, rods, pistons etc.

I was hoping someone may have found another bolt that could be substituted or adapted. Otherwise I'll fit a set of cracktested new Honda factory bolts.

Long term I'll be looking at stroking options for the F20C and fittting slide or quad throttle bodies to the engine.
