Its been a while since ive been on the forums but ive been having weird noises from my s latley. I am no stranger to cars at ALL but this noise is something else. Expect mechanics and s2k gurus help me out here.

I have a noise that sounds like radio interference is the best way to describe it. As if you ran your speaker wires too close to your ecu. Also a bit like a supercharger. The noise gets louder at i go faster and quieter as i slow down and stops completely at a stop. The noise is NOT under load however. I can roll in neutral at 70mhp and it will be the loudest most annoying whining sound ever. Its a constant noise so i know its not a wheel bearing thud thud thud noise. It doesn't squeak like brakes. Its not the tires with bad road noise. When i bought my care from honda i had them replace the clutch flywheel pressure plate and counter shaft on the tranny (it was supose to be the gear wind fix says honda)

My axles have been clicking which indicates they are going out for some time now. So worn joints could possibly be the case (i don't want to change them until i know for sure). I know for sure it has to be something thats spinning so im left with axles, driveshaft?. BTW it doesnt sound like its comming from the engine at all however its hard to tell because the car has to be moving to hear. 2cents anyone?

A bad wheel bearing will start out with a sound like you describe and then get progressively worse over time. If your axle hubs have been clicking for a while, that's another clue that it is probably a wheel bearing.

This sounds like exactly what i used to have. It's one of the bearings in the transmission. It's a whinning sounds and as you go faster, the note of the sound goes up and as you slow down, the sounds gets lower tone.

I replaced my transmission...it's not worth it. get a louder exhaust.

i dont belive its the tranny at all. there are only so many bearings in and around the tranny and theres no way they would be speed sensitive and not load sensitive.
