Default Axle pulling out of diff slightly

I was replacing the diff fluid and noticed some fluid splatter. The passenger side axle is pulling out of the diff about 1-2mm. This is enough to have a bit of fluid leak which was spraying all over the bottom of the car. I am lowered a little bit but I'm not sure thats causing this. I know people use driveshaft spacers but that is just to help the axle cup wear.

Any ideas? I'll probably have to replace the seal but how do i keep this from happening again?

The axle spacers actually make up for all the space your axle is pulled out when your car is lowered, basically just pushes the joint back into where it sits at factory height
