I've had mine relocated for quite some time without issue and my car has the sensitive AEM 1052 ecu. I placed a 100amp fuse on the power wire but near the battery, as that's where it can work best. I have a 4 channel amp powering a good little sound system and not once seen lights even dim. To connect the stock wires to the new one you can use.....

Compression butt splice. The ones they sell you can get sized for whatever wire you used. And not to sound like a mcmaster salesman, but this wire has been so nice.
