Default Battery Storage - Simple Question

Hello Gentleman,

Storing the S in an underground garage in a condo building. I do not have an electrical receptacle nearby to plug in a battery trickle charger. Can I just remove the Negative terminal on the battery, wrap the neg terminal in a cloth and leave the battery in the S with the Positive terminal still attached? This is what I did already. Am I ok?

Thanks guys!

Make sure you have the radio code! Make sure the battery is fully charged and the electrolyte topped off first.

My camper hibernates 5 months and the battery comes out at 12.3 to 12.4vDC which is about 75% charged. This works well in cold weather when self-discharge is very slow. (Miami summer won't work well.)

It's vital to disconnect the battery. This is under $10 at most auto stores.
