Default boring f20c1

So yea guys got piston slap in cylinder 4 wall was scored. so my question is can I bore my stock sleeves to 87 1/2 or maybe 88mm or do I have to buy replacement sleeves thanks all s2ki members for advice.....

You don't have sleeves. FRM material lines the wall and is so thin it's not practical to bore the motor.

If you go this direction you'll have to bore all 4, sleeve with aftermarket and rebalance the motor.

So I can bore the stock block bigger and just put all four 87 1/2 to 88mm pistons in???? Or is it I have to buy aftermarket sleeves and rebalance the motor the only way for this fix...

From the Helms, it looks like the boring limit is 0.25 over. You could do that if it would take out the scruff, but finding oem pistons may be another story.

Unless you want a built motor ready for more power I believe the lowest stress/cost way to fix your problem is a new working short block. Get something low mileage. Than consider if you want the old short block worked on later.

Ok bro thanks i guess ill start looking to buy a short block for now.
