Default Brake Help!

Ok, I have 16,xxx miles on my car, and my front pads are nonexistent, and my rotors look like records! I was thinking about some Hawk Pads and Powerslot Rotors.....do you guys think this is a good setup, or should i go with the Team Spugen Slotted Rotors, and ceramic pads?

Thanks,
John

PS. if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it!

It depends what your goals are with the brake setup.

Well, unless you're in it for looks I'd just get replacement OEM rotors. There's some good info/discussion about slotted rotors here

As for pads, I've used Porterfield R4S and Carbotech Panther+, both of which are street/track compounds. Either one should work for the type of driving you're going to be doing.

For a functional setup the above works very well. Don't forget to change to high temp brake fluid for the track though.

I wonder if it would be possible for S2KI to force a user to perform a SEARCH before posting a thread. It is so sad that so much effort has been wasted on the many "Library" threads.
