Thumbs up Brake Light / Cruise Control

Had a question.

My Emergency brake light stays on even when the E-Brake is not engaged.

I believe this to be the reason why my cruise control isn't working.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

check the brake fluid, the light will come on if the master cylinder is low. if the fluid is low check the brake pads, they are most likely low.

as for the cruise control, i would need some more info on it.

Low brake pads will trigger a dash light?

The brake fluid seems fine.

I was thinking that the light is connected to the cruise control problem, since when the brakes are "on" cruise control deactivates.

that's odd...it sounds like you may have 2 separate issues.

the brake light can stay on even with the reservoir full if the float that senses low fluid gets stuck in the low position. check to see if it's at the top where it should be.

as far as the CC... no idea

A sunken brake reservoir float is a fairly common S2K failure.
