Default Brake Light Indicator

Ok so its been like 10 degrees in PA for a few days and now when I get in my car and drop the e-brake the brake light indicator stays illuminated. I did some research on the site and found some people have had the float get stuck meaning the brake light stays on, but I used a flat head screw driver and pushed it up and the light stays on. I am changing my brake fluid today but if this leaves no change in the problem I was wondering if the e-brake could simply freeze stuck, I'm not getting any grinding sound but there are only two things that I can tie this problem too. Either a low level of brake fluid or the e-brake being applied.

Just looking for some feedback!!!

I get it too. THe brake light either stay on or is intermittent when it is very cold. I tryied lowering the top and it wouldnt go down until i pulled up the brake so its not that. But sometimes when I brake it goes away. It doesnt come on when its warm and the brake isnt on. I think its just what others have mentioned.

only 2 options....

if its not the brake fluid or the float...

lift up your center console and see if the switch under the ebrake is "frozen" and not going down all the way.

The same thing happens to everyone's s2k when it gets cold. It happened to me as well, like you mentioned it's just the float getting stuck. There is a TSB for it somewhere on this site with a cheap part you can get from Honda to fix it, but I can't remember where it is. So, long story short it is fixable if you don't mind buying a new part or you can just ignore it like I do lol.
