Mine ended up being rocks between my dust sheild and the rotor. When I got my alignment done they guy got most of the rocks out. I still hear the sound some, but it is a lot better.

^^ that's what I thought too! 27,xxx miles of conservative driving can't wear down the pads that much. I mean I don't brake like a maniac or track the car.
