Original 2.0.

It is surely possible. The guy who owns the car even described in detail how he over filled it.

This car does seem to take more than the 5.1qts as stated in the specs. A 5 quart container places the oil level at about the bottom X on the dip stick. and another half qt. or more to get to the top X. There would definitaly be some residule in the container to account for some error but not enough to account for this fairly large discrepancy.
I prefer to keep my level at the top x and the only way it can be done is to add small amounts of oil after intalling the 5 quarts,

How much detail? Will he be creating a DIY?

I can't imagine a catch can would really have prevented this, we aren't talking about a huge overflow container like your cooling system has. Over a quart overfilled is a pretty substantial amount.

Is there any consensus for how much if any oil shuold be added once you hit the top of the dipstick? I know some people "overfill" that do high speed track days with long high speed corners.
