Measure it using a piece of string and take it to autozone to find one the same size as the string.

I am expecting to receive some custom length belts from the OEM supplier in order to bypass the A/C compressor. I'll let you know when they arrive and have passed the test fitting. How many people are interested in an A/C bypass belt?

What kind of an increase in power are we talking about?

I'll be awaiting your post GEARHEAD to buy! I've seen gains of 10 HP on a b18c1 from removing the power steering. I expect similiar gains from the s2k's AC unit.

Most power steering units are hydraulic pumps that rob power from the engine all the time(the S2000 has an electro-mechanical unit that is more efficient). The A/C compresor feeewheels except when its electro-mechanical clutch is engaged when the unit is on. It would be interesting to see a comparison between a bypassed system and a stock system with the A/C off. To be fair, you'd need to do the comparison on the same car on the same day with at least several runs in each configuration. Like Blake suggests, I bet that there isn't much difference.

I agree. Without the A/C clutch engaged, the compressor is acting like an idler pulley. Now, theoretically, there is some drag due to friction on the bearing, as well as the inertia in the turning of the pulley (and to get really picky in the extra length of the belt), but I don't see you being able to notice the difference.

You can tell a difference. I have been able to tell a difference on several different vehicles I have done this to.
